■Kicking things off
Greetings, pilot. This is Nakagawa from development team.
I’m pleased to be here writing the Dev newsletter of the month to you.
As some of you may recognize, the RG Project, “Gundam Rogue Orbit” and “Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO” have been announced a little while before.
It is good to see a new Gundam related project being launched, and people are already feeling excited and starting buzzing it.
Just let me point it out, as a big fan of Gundam NT-1 Alex, I’m especially curious to see the title of the new anime!
Alright, 8th Anniversary Campaign is still ongoing and I hope you are enjoying the events.
For those pilots who haven’t claimed all containers and mission rewards, there are only a few days left and remember to login to the game!
While our Anniversary Campaign is heading to its goal, we are preparing new events for you at the moment.
Some information has already released in our livestream in Japan, but I would like to bring them up here for a remainder.
■8th Anniversary Afterparty!
8th Anniversary is not finished! 8th Anniversary Afterparty is starting on [PDT] 08/26/2026 / [CEST] 08/27/2026!
During the campaign, events such as great boosting the container discovery chance, and “Daily Bonus Increasing Campaign”, also the “MS Guaranteed Free Supply Drop” which contains high ranked MS voted by pilots!
This free Supply Drop guarantees 1 randomly selected MS from the top 5 ranked MS in each STEP, so don’t miss out!
■New MS “Gundam Double X”!
It’s been 30 years from the first broadcast… Gundam Double X from “After War Gundam X” is joining GBO2 as the first 700 cost support MS from alternative title!
It is armed with a variety of weapons, including a Buster Rifle, Hyper Beam Sword, G Hammer, and Beam Javelin [Thrown], as well as its signature weapon, the Twin Satellite Cannon.

It is armed with several weapons, starting with the standard weapons, Buster Rifle, Hyper Beam Sword, G Hammer and Beam Javelin [Thrown]、also its signature sub-weapon “Twin Satellite Cannons”.
A highly adaptable MS capable to handle combat from close to long range.
However, pilot have to read the situation and pick the correct weapon precisely to pull its all potential.

<Unit features>
・Support unit with cost of 700.
・The Gundam Double X is the successor to the Gundam X.
It was deployed by Federation Forces as a decisive weapon during the 7th Space War fought against the Space Revolutionary Army.
・The Gundam X was the strongest mobile suit of its era, equipped with a “Flash System” that controlled unmanned G-Bits tailored for Newtype pilots, and a “Satellite System” to supply energy to the unit converted from super microwaves (SMW) generated by high-powered solar panels on the lunar surface.
・The Gundam Double X was developed by New UNE (United Nations Earth) armed forces after the war, based on the Gundam X once piloted by Jamil Neate, an ace pilot from the former Federation’s Newtype team.
・It features an upgraded Satellite System Mk-II with significantly enlarged reflectors to reduce SMW reception loss, along with enhanced heat dissipation through energy radiator plates on the arms and legs.
These improvements, combined with the Twin Satellite Cannons, allow it to achieve several times greater output than its predecessor.
・This unit was seized during an activation test, and it ended up as the personal MS of Garrod Ran, former pilot of the Gundam X.
・Can be deployed both on the Ground and in Space.
※This video will be available soon, so please check back later.
※This video may not be representative of the actual product.
  • <Weapon introduction>
  • Sub-weapon “Twin Satellite Cannons”
  • ・Must stop to fire, but can negate some enemy beam armor, causing damage to enemy MS even hitting shields.
Also able to penetrate MS and usable in midair.
  • ・Focus is required to fire, but focusing will increase the Charge Gauge.
Except in certain situations, the Charge Gauge will maintain its current level even when you stop focusing.
You cannot move or turn the MS while focused.
Focusing in midair is possible as long as thrusters are usable.
  • ・Once the Charge Gauge is maxed out, shockwaves will cause flames to spread in the vicinity.
Note that skill and custom part effects are not available while this weapon is overheating.
■<VR operator> Tiffa is going to be on sale!
Tiffa, who appeared in After War Gundam X, will be supporting pilots in GBO2!
When deploying with the Gundam Double X, Tiffa will assist the pilot with a special voice line when the Twin Satellite Cannons have finished charging.
<VR operator>Tiffa will be available for purchase starting on the same day the Gundam DX is released, so if you’re interested, be sure to check her out!
■UI Improvements
Pilots, we regularly receive a wide range of feedback from you, and we also received a lot of valuable feedback at the GBO offline event held in Japan.
Taking your feedback into consideration, particularly the request to “make it easier to find the favorite units you use regularly ”…we’ll be making an update to the customization screen’s sorting function in the late-August update.
New sorting order “number of sortie” will be added in this update.
This feature also allows you to filter your units by the number of deployments: “0”, “1–100”, “101–1,000”, “1,001–10,000” and “10,001 or more.”
This will make it easier to find the trusty MS you’ve been piloting for a long time, so be sure to give it a try!
(Incidentally, this also makes it easier for me to find my own favorite, my Alex.)
■Silver Week Campaign coming soon!
Following the 8th Anniversary Campaign, the Silver Week Campaign is coming right behind and starting in mid-September!
During the campaign, we’ll have a variety of special offers and events, including one free Supply Drop per day, the Powered-up Hangars Campaign, the Expansion Facility Mechanic Campaign, and more.
After the Golden Week campaign ended, we received feedback from players saying they wanted to “make more progress with skill development.”
In response, during this campaign, we’ll be increasing the number of Expansion Coins that can be earned from Limited Special Missions, making it easier to commission Leona & Tenda for skill development.
Take this opportunity to earn rewards and put them toward enhancing your favorite MS!
The campaign will also take place around the same time as the release of the units introduced in the stream, so we recommend clearing missions and earning Enhancement Items ahead of time!
■To wrap thing up…
That’s all for the update information.
The update will be applied on [PDT] 08/26/2026 22:00 / [CEST] 08/27/2026 07:00.
By the way, the life-sized Unicorn Gundam statue in Odaiba will end its public exhibition on [JST] 08/31/2026.
It’s sad to see the statue, which has welcomed so many Gundam fans over the past nine years, come to the end of its exhibition.
GBO2 is also entering its ninth year, we’ll continue to keep the excitement going together with all of you.
Thank you for your continued support!
Well now, pilots.
I will see you in the battle field.
